For tourism, oregon is best known for its wilderness and natural areas, although the state does offer some excellent skiing. That said, there are some tourist attractions in Oregon, including many located in Portland, and these include the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, Portland Art Museum, the Japanese American Historical Plaza and Portland Classical Chinese Garden. Additionally, if you visit Portland in the summer, you may want to time your visit so that you can catch the Waterfront Blues Festival, which is a popular (and fun!) annual event. Important education institutions in Oregon include Portland State University (in Portland) and the University of Oregon (in Eugene). Some of the leading companies headquartered in Oregon include Nike, Inc and Reser's Fine Foods, both of which are in Beaverton. The principal airport in Oregon is Portland International Airport which is in Portland. Sports teams in Oregon include the Eugene Emeralds (Northwest League baseball) in Eugene, the Portland Beavers (Pacific Coast League baseball) in Portland, Portland Timbers (USL-1 soccer) in Portland, the Portland Trail Blazers (National Basketball Association) in Portland, and the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes (Northwest League baseball) in Keizer.
