DelawareDelaware is a small (49th out of 50) state located in the Middle Atlantic area. It was one of the original 13 colonies which took part in the American Revolution, and was the first to ratify the U.S. Constitution, hence its nickname: "The First State". Probably the most famous educational institution in Delaware is the University of Delaware which is in Newark The main professional sports franchise in Delaware is the Wilmington Blue Rocks (Carolina League baseball) who are based in Wilmington.
