Aurora
Aurora is a city in Portage County,
Ohio, and a suburb of Cleveland.
As of the 2000 census, its population was 13,556.
The city traces its history back to 1799, when
Captain Ebenezer Sheldon, a veteran of the Revolutionary War, together with
his family, settled in what was then part of the Connecticut Western Reserve
(Western lands claimed by the state of Connecticut).
