Fargo


Fargo is a city in Cass County, in the eastern part of North Dakota. As of the 2000 census, its population was 90,599 which makes it the largest city in the state.

Fargo was originally founded in 1871 as "Centralia". The name was later changed to Fargo, in honor of William Fargo, who was a director of the North Pacific Railway as well as founder of the Wells Fargo Company.
