CaryCary is a town in Wake County, North Carolina. As of the 2000 census, its population was 94,536, however town records show a population of 121,457 as of April 2007. Cary was originally founded in 1750 under the name of "Bradford's Ordinary". The settlement remained small for the next century, until the North Carolina Railroad constructed a new railroad line between New Bern and Hillsborough which passed through Bradford's Ordinary. In 1854, Allison Francis "Frank" Page, and his wife, Catherine "Kate" Raboteau Page, purchased 300 acres of land at the railroad junction, and began development of the town, which they named Cary, after Samuel Fenton Cary, a prohibitionist whom they admired. As a result of their activities, in 1871, the town of Cary was officially incorporated. Here is some other information about Cary:
