NewarkNewark is the largest city in New Jersey. As of the 2000 census, its population was 273,546. Newark is home to Newark Liberty International Airport, which is one of the main airports serving the New York metropolitan area. The airport was previously known as simply "Newark International Airport", but the name was changed following the crash of United Airlines Flight 93 which was hijacked on September 11th 2001 and crashed into a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
