Transamerica Pyramid
The Transamerica Pyramid is a highly distinctive (and tallest) skyscraper
in San Francisco,
California. It is 853 feet (260 meters) tall, and contains
48 storeys.
Originally, the building housed the headquaters
of the Transamerica Corporation, however this is no longer the case.
There are four cameras pointed in the four cardinal directions at the top
of the spire. These are used to form a virtual observation which
can be seen in the lobby (originally there was an observation deck on the 27th
floor, but this was closed following the September 11th attacks).
