Arizona Biltmore Hotel
Located in
Phoenix,
Arizona, the Arizona
Biltmore Hotel is one of the most luxurious resorts in the country.
It has recently joined Hilton Hotels' Waldorf-Astoria Collection.
The distinctive architecture of the building is often mistakenly attributed to Frank Lloyd Wright, however the architect of record is Albert Chase McArthur. Wright, however did consult on site for four months in 1928. Additionally, and perhaps adding to the confusion, a number of Frank Lloyd Wright influences have been added to the hotel, including a stained glass window based on a design that Wright created for the cover of Harper's magazine, reproductions of statues that appeared at Wright's Midway Gardens in Chicago, and the fact that the restaurant is called Wright's.
