Columbus Zoo and Aquarium

• Asia Quest - This region features numerous animals from Asia and has been specifically designed so as to immerse visitors in the experience, rather than separate them from the animals. Visitors enter this region by passing a waterfall adjacent to two animal habitats, pass through a cave with indoor habitats, go through a Chinese forest, and then finally enter a pheasant aviary which has been designed to look like an abandoned Asian garden.
  
  
• Congo Exhibition - This region features animals from the Central African rainforest including hooved mammals, large cats, and primates (including bonobos and gorillas). There is also a bird aviary.
  
  
• Heart of Africa - This region is home to many African plains animals including cheetahs, giraffes, lions, vervet monkeys, and zebras. Visitors to this region can take a camel ride, and also see giraffe feedings.
  
  
• North America - Contains 13 large exhibits and a 10,000 square foot (930 m²) migratory songbird aviary with 40 bird species. The North America region also contains a train ride which circles the entire region and travels past the open plains exhibit.
  
  
• Pachyderms - This region is home to Asian elephants and black rhinoceros, with both indoor and outdoor habitats for both species.
  
  
• Polar Frontier - The newest of the zoo's regions, Polar Frontier extends the North America region, and features animals from colder climates such as Arctic fox, brown bears, polar bears, and reindeer.
  
  
• Shores and Aquarium - This region features fish and manatee aquariums ("Discovery Reef" and "Manatee Coast" respectively). There is also an indoor Reptile Habitat, and exhibits with American flamingos and Humboldt penguins.
  
  
• Voyage to Australia and the Islands - Features animals and birds from Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia, including kangaroos, koalas, and short-beaked echnidnas.
