NormanNorman is a city in Cleveland County, Oklahoma. As of the 2000 census, its population was 95,694. According to legend, the area was first mapped by surveyors from the U.S. Land Office, led by Abner E. Norman, round about 1870. Abner E. Norman's party is said to have carved the word's "Norman's Camp" on a tree in the area, and it is from this that Norman got its name when the town was eventually settled in 1889. Today, Abner E.
