Kentucky Flag

The flag of Kentucky consists of the Commonwealth's seal on a navy blue field. Above the seal are the words "Commonwealth of Kentucky" and below are sprigs of goldenrod, the state flower.

The original version of the flag was designed by Jesse Cox, a teacher in Frankfort, and officially adopted in 1918. The design was finalized in 1928.
