London BridgeLondon Bridge, located in Lake Havasu City. is the former bridge over the River Thames from London, England. The bridge was originally constructed in 1831, but increasing volumes of traffic in London had, by 1962, caused the bridge to become structurally unsound. As a result, the bridge was sold, and then re-assembled in Lake Havasu City between 1968 and 1971. A persistent myth is that the purchaser, Robert McCulloch, bought the bridge in the mistaken belief that he was buying London's more recognisable Tower Bridge. This myth has however been debunked by both Robert McCulloch, and by Ivan Lucklin (who was responsible for selling the bridge).
