Ave Maria GrottoThe Ave Maria Grotto, also known as "Jerusalem in Miniature", is a four-acre park which provides a landscaped setting for 125 miniature reproductions of famous shrines and historical buildings of the world. The miniatures were all created by Brother Joseph Zoettl, a Benedictine monk of St. Bernard Abbey, and include reproductions of the famous buildings of Jerusalem and the Holy Land, Roman landmarks such as St. Peter's and the Colosseum, Spanish Missions of the American Southwest, and replicas of the famous Shrines of Our Lady, Fatima and Lourdes. The Ave Maria Grotto is located in Cullman, Alabama.  |
